Hilary is the proud mother of Hayley and Joshua and together they run the non-profit business, HummingbirdHOPE which oversees the retreat house and charitable, community work.

Hilary lives onsite as the retreat house manager and offers and supervises the Anamcara sessions. She has over forty years experience in providing therapy and is an experienced consultant clinical psychologist. Before taking early retirement to follow her vision of the retreat house, she was the adult psychology lead within a London NHS mental health trust. Hilary has a passion to see people discover their unique value and to reach their potential. Alongside her psychology training, she is trained in eco-therapy, art therapy and spiritual direction. She developed Holistic Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and she has a number of publications on this unique approach to therapy. She loves to be in nature and is a Celtic contemplative.
